Interested Travelers

sunny 29 °C

I have been receivng a fair amount of e-mails from other gay travelers about visiting the Turks and Caicos islands. Really, I am glad to see them, it lets me know that there are others interested in visiting this destination. One gay couple in particular had the same initial concern that I did, and that was that the island is not really listed as being, "gay friendly." Honestly, that was a conern for me at first too, but that concnern disappeared after the first evening on the island. I love the T & C Islands, and would strongly encourage any traveler to vacation there.

The next trip that Shayne and I have booked is for Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in March of this year. We are very much looking forward to it.

Eleven Days in Providenciales

Turks and Caicos Islands

sunny 29 °C

We spent eleven days in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, and actually had a wonderful time. At first, we were supposed to spend five days in Provo and five in Cap-Haitien , Haiti, but then we thought about it, and we had been to Haiti twice before. Guess what, who wants to deal with that nonsense all over again of people begging for money, can't leave the hotel grounds because of always being hassled for money, etc, etc, etc. It was a far better idea to stay in Provo for the entire ten nights/eleven days.

We did not have an all-inclusive; however, in one way that was better, since it gave us the opportunity to try different restaurants for lunch and dinner. The hotel that we stayed at was the Comfort Suites, decent enough, and it provided a large continental breakfast each morning.

We are a gay couple and at first had some reservations about vacationing in the Turks and Caicos Islands, but after just a few hours that subsided. Everybody there was friendly and really didn't seem to care less of who we were. There isn't a per say, "gay scene" in Provo, as there is in San Juan, PR or the Dominican Republic, but it's coming. Tourism is flourishing on this island, and it's just a matter of time.

We would highly recommend this island as a vacation destination for anyone.

Two Gay Guys, Of Course This Is The First

Cute Guy

Well, we are two gay guys, and I've got to start this blog somehow. So what better way than to show a pic of some cute guy, who we have no idea who he is at the bar one night. This image was taken at Calico Jack's bar and restaurant at the Port of Calls plaza in Provo. We used to drink there almost nightly.
